The best way to order your repeat medication is by using patient online. services.
In order to improve the process for patients requesting Repeat Medication we ask that you register for online services so that you can order your repeat medication online.
Online services can be accessed by either logging on to your online account at https://www.patientaccess.com/ or by going to the surgery website at https://oakside.gpsurgery.net/ and scrolling down the homepage until you see the Repeat Prescription icon.
To use this service you will need to register with EMIS Web (Patient Access) first.
Utilising Repeat Dispensing we are able to process your request and then send your prescription straight to your nominated pharmacy so that you can collect your medication directly from the pharmacy without having to collect a paper prescription from the surgery.
For all repeat prescription requests we ask that you submit a list of the medication required, with your name and address, at least 72 hours (3 working days) before the medication is needed (allow longer for weekends and bank holidays). Prescriptions can only be returned to you by post if they are accompanied by a Stamped Self-addressed Envelope. Requests submitted after 1600 will be treated as being requested on the following working day. Prescription requests are processed as shown in the table below:
|Prescription request handed in to surgery||Ready for collection|
|Monday||Thursday after 4pm|
|Tuesday||Friday after 4pm|
|Wednesday||Monday after 4pm|
|Thursday||Tuesday after 4pm|
|Friday||Wednesday after 4pm|
We are keen to ensure that patients with ongoing medical problems are monitored regularly. If the date for your next review with a doctor or nurse has passed you will be asked to make an appointment.
We regret that at this time we are unable to accept repeat prescription requests over the phone.
